📊 How to view engagement analytics

Edited

👉 Understand who's viewing your content and how they're engaging with it

Why engagement analytics matter

Knowing who viewed your content and how they engaged with it is crucial for sales and marketing success. Engagement analytics help you:

• Identify hot leads - See which prospects are most engaged

• Time your follow-ups - Reach out when interest is highest

• Measure content effectiveness - Understand what resonates with your audience

• Prioritize your outreach - Focus on the most engaged prospects first

Accessing engagement analytics

Step 1: Navigate to a shared asset

Go to any asset that you've shared with prospects or customers. Assets that have been viewed will show engagement data.

Step 2: Scroll to the Engagement section

In the asset detail view, scroll down to find the Engagement section. This is where all your analytics live.

Understanding your metrics

Overview metrics

At the top of the Engagement section, you'll see summary metrics that give you a quick snapshot of performance:

• Total Views - How many times your content has been viewed

• Unique Viewers - Number of different people who viewed it

• Average Time Spent - How long viewers typically engage with your content

• Downloads - How many times it's been downloaded

• Shares - How many times it's been shared further

These metrics help you quickly assess whether your content is resonating with your audience.

Individual viewer details

Below the overview metrics, you'll find the Viewer Activity section with detailed information about each person who engaged with your content.

For each viewer, you can see:

• Name and email (if available through personalized links)

• Date and time viewed - When they last engaged

• Time spent - How long they viewed your content

• Pages viewed - For multi-page documents

• Device/location - If available, where and how they accessed it

Using analytics for follow-up

The real power of engagement analytics is using this data to improve your sales and marketing efforts.

Identify hot leads

Look for prospects who show strong engagement signals:

• Multiple views - They came back more than once

• Long time spent - They thoroughly reviewed your content

• Recent views - They engaged within the last day or two

• Complete views - They went through all pages or sections

These are your warmest leads and should be your top priority for follow-up.

Timing your outreach

Strike while the iron is hot. When you see someone has just viewed your content, that's often the perfect moment to reach out. They're thinking about your solution right now.

Tailoring your conversations

Use the engagement data to personalize your follow-up:

• "I saw you spent time reviewing our case studies section..."

• "I noticed you came back to view this a couple of times..."

• "You looked at our pricing information - do you have any questions?"

This shows you're paying attention and helps you have more relevant, valuable conversations.

Best practices

• Check analytics regularly - Make it part of your daily routine to review engagement data

• Set up alerts - If your team uses a CRM integration, you can get notified when key prospects view content

• Combine with other signals - Use engagement data alongside other sales intelligence for a complete picture

• Respect privacy - Be professional about how you reference viewing behavior in conversations

• Focus on patterns - Look for trends across multiple interactions, not just single views
